Within historical walls . . .

This building is steeped in tradition and has a history stretching back 400 years. There has been an inn on this site since 1570, providing accommodation for many famous personalities over the centuries. The Untertor was owned by the Custer family from Altstätten for around 250 years.

The current proprietors renovated the hotel in 2002, and the Untertor is now a real gem in a setting of breathtaking beauty.
